Join us on Wednesday, April 27, at 10 a.m. ET to learn about Technical Standards & Safety Authority’s (TSSA’s) journey to becoming an Outcome-Based Regulator and the role it plays supporting the safety of nuclear pressure retaining equipment in Ontario.

As Ontario’s public safety regulator, TSSA is mandated by the Government of Ontario to enforce technical safety regulations and enhance public safety, particularly as it relates to boilers and pressure vessels (BPV) and plant operating engineers (OE), among other areas. The agency also provides non-regulatory services through contracts to organizations in Ontario, predominantly in the nuclear sector.

For TSSA, transforming into a modern Outcome-Based Regulator means having a regulatory framework that focuses on outcomes rather than activities, taking a risk-informed approach to safety oversight, and using data to understand risk and drive decision-making. In this webinar, Ajay Raval, TSSA's Statutory Director for the BPV and OE Safety Programs, and Shaun Montano, BPV Engineering Manager, will discuss how TSSA is becoming a more progressive, responsive and collaborative organization.
