OCNI is pleased to organize this consultation with leading companies from the South Korean nuclear industry, in conjunction with the Korean Nuclear Association (KNA). Following the signing of our Memorandum of Understanding in October 2021, OCNI and KNA are committed to identifying opportunities in Canada, South Korea, and other countries where our member companies can work together.
This session on December 13th will allow a number of South Korean companies to present their skills and capabilities to representatives of Ontario Power Generation (OPG) and Bruce Power and a presentation from an expert on the similarities and differences in safety codes and standards between the countries. OPG and Bruce Power will also provide an update on their Refurbishment and MCR programs underway, while OPG’s Centre for Canadian Nuclear Sustainability (CCNS) will discuss decommissioning strategies for OPG’s Pickering Nuclear Generating Station.
