As potential deployment of SMRs is being considered across Canada, including by western provinces, one of the focus areas should be building truly national nuclear supply chain capacity. Ensuring that future SMR projects can rely on a capable, integrated and efficient Canadian supply chain would not only contribute to the overall success of a given project but would also bring long-term economic and social benefits to our communities. This session will focus on approaches (and challenges) to developing this supply chain capacity for the future SMR projects.
