We are excited to share that AECL and CNL have officially issued a Request for Expression of Interest (RFEOI) to better understand the market interest in licensing AECL’s SLOWPOKE and Nuclear Battery reactor technologies for commercialization opportunities. This announcement presents a unique opportunity for the nuclear industry to engage in shaping the future of these innovative technologies. The RFEOI is available exclusively on the Government of Canada’s MERX™ system, where participants can access background information and submit all inquiries.

As part of this initiative, OCNI is proud to partner with CNL to host a workshop and tour at the Chalk River Laboratories campus for registered participants. This event will provide valuable insights into advanced reactor technologies, such as the SLOWPOKE, and facilitate engagement with CNL’s vision for the future.

  • February 19, 2025: OCNI/CNL Workshop and Tour at the Chalk River Laboratories campus for registered participants.
